Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest spirals from a harmless double life into a tangle of fake aliases, crazy engagements, and, let’s just say, inconvenient truths that refuse to stay buried. Watch what happens when polite conversation becomes a negotiation, and when every carefully constructed romance is clearly an illusion on the verge of collapse.

Paired with Oscar Wilde is Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, reimagined as a South Asian American celebration with Bollywood-inspired music and dance. You’re invited to a whirlwind wedding that mixes equal parts family expectations, overheard conversations, and emotional misfires. Two people who insist they are not in love become the center of everyone else's world.

Major cuts to arts funding have hit us hard, while each of our productions, including this summer's Sanborn shows and our free Shakespeare in the Park offering, costs approximately $100,000 to produce.
