Silicon Valley Shakespeare prioritizes the safety of our artists and patrons, and we are committed to doing our part to stop the spread of the coronavirus. In 2022, we are requiring all of our actors, designers, and other staff to be fully vaccinated. In addition, we have the following safety guidelines and requirements for our venues:

Willow Street Park

Our free Shakespeare productions at Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park take place in an open grass area outdoors, with no permanent or set seating. Patrons choose their seating with picnics blankets, lawn chairs, etc. and seating is open to anyone. Therefore we request that patrons:

• Are fully vaccinated

• Sit at least 6 feet away from other groups

• Wear a mask, if within 6 feet of other patrons who are not in your party

Please note that we will continue to monitor local COVID safety requirements and recommendations and will update our guidelines accordingly.

Sanborn Park

Our ticketed Shakespeare productions at Sanborn Park take place in an outdoor venue, with folding chair seating. Our venue is general admission seating, so patrons pick their own seats; however, at this time, we cannot guarantee distanced seating. Following Theatre Bay Area’s joint COVID protocols, we will require that:

• Patrons of eligible vaccination age be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination (a vaccination card/photo of vaccination card, or a Digital Vaccine Record; and your ID). People are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or 14 days after a single-dose vaccine.

• All patrons 2 years and older wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. Masks may be removed when actively eating or drinking.

Please note that we will continue to monitor local COVID safety requirements and recommendations and will update our guidelines accordingly.
