In the spirit of Silicon Valley Shakespeare’s mission to make theatre available to everyone, we are proud to offer three new accessibility services during our 2022 summer season! And to help sustain the new programs we need your help. Will you take part in our Accessibility Fundraising Challenge to ensure Silicon Valley Shakespeare can continue to make theatre available to everyone?

The three programs Silicon Valley Shakespeare is newly offering this summer include; please click here for the dedicated program dates related to our free Shakespeare production of Romeo and Juliet:

  1. American Sign Language (ASL)-interpreted performance nights.
  2. Pre-show tactile tours and actor meet-and-greets for Blind and low-vision patrons.
  3. Complimentary adult tickets to all of our Sanborn Park performances, for ten individuals nightly, available to the public if ticket cost is a barrier. No questions asked.

SVS is proud to open doors to our community, and our donors make this possible! Your gifts directly fund these programs, access services, and more, such as:

  • $30 = one free general admission ticket
  • $100 = free admission for a family of four
  • $350 = one full scholarship to Summer Camp
  • $500 = one ASL interpreter for one performance
  • $1,500 = specialized training for ushers dedicated to assisting patrons with physical disabilities
  • $4,500 = a full team of ASL interpreters, performing one night for each of our three summer productions

Since 1999 and through the power of our supporters, we have contributed over $1.7M in free theatre admission and served over 30,000 kids and students, many of whom experienced theatre or Shakespeare for the very first time at our shows. Your donations help bring our community together as we welcome people of all identities to share a blanket under a canopy of stars and a stage ringed by redwoods and magic.

Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you at the parks!
